PARENT COMPANY PROFILE

Top Great Engineering started business as a proprietary company under the leadership of Mr. Wong Boon Huat in May 1993. In year 2000, Top Great Engineering & Marine Pte Ltd (hereafter named “TGEM”) was incorporated as Private Limited Company and has established itself as a market leader in providing engineering design, procurement, fabrication and installation of Structural and Precision Engineering systems and plants.

TGEM’s services cover provision of skilled professionals and manpower, project management with full turnkey (inclusive competitive materials acquisition) handover of quality Engineering projects. At TGEM, we understand that executing projects within budget, of the highest quality and in a timely manner are essential to client’s performance.

TGEM serve the Environment, Marine and Oil & Gas sectors. From a regional market focused portfolio, we are now progressing towards a global footprint.

We build facilities with utmost concern for safety. At TGEM, we regard safety, health and environmental performance to be of prime importance to our business and we are committed continual improvement in these areas.

OUR HERITAGE

Our venture into business began in a rental premise before moving into the current location at 24 Loyang Crescent in year 2000. We have since fully paid for the factory in Year 2005 and then added an open yard in the neighbouring Off-Shore Marine Base for our assembly.

The factory will undergo a refurbishment in Year 2008 to put in place a three (3) storey workshop and fabrication complex.

Expansion of business resulted in factories and shipyard in Malaysia, Oman and Indonesia over the period of Year 2006 and thereafter.

FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mr. Wong, a native of Singapore, served as Chairman and Managing Director of Top Great Engineering & Marine Pte Ltd from 2000 to current. He brings to the business 20 years of engineering experience in the areas of Structural & Mechanical engineering with extensive contacts in the Offshore, Marine, and Environment industries.

TGEM saw great growth and expansion under Mr. Wong’s leadership leading to expansions into Asia regions over the last 2-3 years. Factories in Malaysia, Indonesia and Oman coupled with yards in Singapore (Penjuru site) and Oman (Duqm site) will pioneer exponential growth over the next 5 years. The yards will take on:

• Large Pressure Vessels fabrication.
